  1. >pigs stay at the trough

OP would you rather give them the chance to get far more money out of us?

source said: “Sacking them all is the easiest thing to do but rarely the right thing to do,”

Any employment solicitor worth more than a bag of chips would say that to be fair.

  2. They’re stackable offences in any other situation, but obviously not for scions of Fianna Fail and Fine Gael.

  3. There are 3 separate independent reviews of the situation currently underway. Why on earth would they sack the entire executive board until they have all the facts. Once people have been found to be in the wrong, of course they should sack them then.

The same people spouting this populist nonsense of sacking them all immediately will be the first ones looking for government heads to roll when it is later found that some of the board were innocent and unfairly dismissed.

  4. Given the amount of illegal activity that Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil politicians have been caught in recently, it’s not surprising that they have this stance.

God forbid powerful people that hold favorable views towards FG and FF would suffer the consequences of their own actions.

  5. > The public broadcaster recorded a deficit of €7.9 million in 2019, and in March 2021, it warned dwindling finances would lead to a cut in its services.

Every member of the executive team and the board should be sacked, a complete clear-out. The wasteful expenditure and ridiculous salaries were allowed under their watch. And they had the absolute gall to push the government for more funding and a further increase in the license fee.

  6. > Also, then you’re left in limbo with senior posts vacant for months.

Most of my weekends are free. If they need me, I am there !

  7. Sack and replacement them with who? And what salaries will they demand to fix this mess? What about the legal issues with sacking them en masse? What terminations payments have they agreed to?

  8. The fuckers should be going to prison, send mental to me that you’d get sent to jail for not paying a licence fee , but looking to the Exchequer in doing back hand deals is absolutely fine
