How awful. Hope it’s only minor injuries and all the kids are OK.
The building should have been wearing high-vis and a helmet!
Think it was a driver who caused the crash rather than a sentient car
>”The Met Police said officers were called to reports a *Land Rover* had crashed into …”
These things are a hazard to others. Either get them off the road altogether or make a new “SUV” license category so their drivers at least need some extra training and are required to pass another test.
Before reading the BBC article on this I hadn’t even considered terrorist activity as a cause, London things I guess, but either way it’s not. Just sounds like a Chelsea tractor being driven typically badly
Google ‘car hits house’ to see just how common this is. I can count three cars in houses stories in the last four days alone.
It’s time to stop calling these accidents and do something about the major hazard on roads: drivers.
Probably a mum, distracted by her phone or off their face on what ever trendy prescription drug is available at the moment.
I fucking hate driving during school drop off and pickup, so many people with massive cars and no ability to drive/park them
Well off area, primarily older generation, nice car. This will be some old person who shouldn’t be behind a wheel that’s passed out or something
These “Just stop oil” nuts are taking things too far. /s

Evening Standard is saying one person is dead. ☹️ https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/wimbledon-merton-police-car-camp-road-school-b1092601.html
Looking at the photo I can’t fathom how this happened.

Land Rover drivers are the new Audi drivers this doesn’t surprise me at all.
The sad thing is that this was the last day of school. If the incident had happened tomorrow, no one would’ve likely been hurt
