Strange Christmas charity shop donations are shocking fillers

  1. Friend who worked at one of the smaller charity shops (not a big oxfam, BHF, Barnados etc) years ago says that once they got what was almost a full set of BDSM gear/clothing donated in a box at the back.

It was quietly sold online (but not linked to the charity in anyway and who knows where) for a surprisingly high price and the money still went to the charity. So thats cool. I wonder what the big shops policy would be for such things or whether they’d just chuck it away for being too hot a potato.

  3. >A London store was given a set of four portraits of historical figures in matching frames – depicting Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, Chinese communist leader Mao Zedong, Vlad the Impaler – otherwise known as Dracula – and former prime minister Margaret Thatcher.

    Brilliant.
