  1. 14 months? This country treats driving offences so pathetically it is unreal

  2. “The police later found that the driver only had a provisional licence and was making a phone call at the wheel of his car when the collision happened. The prosecutor also mentioned that Parris had complained about the state of the cycle lane to his partner earlier.”

Selfish “motorist” with an inflated opinion of their driving ability claims another life

  3. Why on earth anyone stabs or shoots anyone in this country is a mystery to me.

You could jump in a car, and also order yourself a takeaway on the phone at the same time, whilst accidentally running your hypothetical target over, and then leave the scene of the crime to eat your takeaway, pop back once you’re done and do 14 months.

    Madness really.

  4. 14 months… let that sink in… 14 months for killing someone with a car, while on a mobile phone, without a license to operate the vehicle… 14.. months… We really are a joke.

  5. I was driving down the M5 the other day and saw a car swerving in the left lane. I overtook and saw a young girl, early twenties, eyes glued to her phone while doing 70mph.

There’s very few things in life that anger me, but selfish people that put lives at risk make my blood boil.

  6. Manslaughter and murder are basically legal if you use a car.

  7. 14 months? The judge might as well have stuck two fingers up at the family and told them to fuck off

  8. 14 months. Imagine the victim was a member of your family. I think I’d be waiting for him at the prison gates as his sentence ended.

  9. So he’s not just a cunt for killing someone, but also for driving without a licence, and driving without insurance, and for speeding and for driving whilst on the phone.

He did 5 illegal things and only got 14 months. What is wrong with this country

  10. 14 months is fine, our after 7. Don’t want to inconvenience the driver too much, and it’s just a person on a bike.

  11. As the old adage goes, if you want to kill someone, use a car and you’ll only get a slap on the wrist.
