  1. I’m always forgetting to give back cars when my mates loan them to me.

  2. “I didn’t ask for payment, they gave me a car”

much BIK did you have to pay on that Marty?

  3. With all these Renault revelations I’m half-expecting to find out Papa and Nicole were getting paid out of that barter account.

  4. He’s going to star in RTE’s new series “Chancing With The Stars”

  5. Who was / is paying for insurance / tax / NCT / full etc

  6. Not sure what I’m supposed to be outranged at here. He’s not getting any tax money from that.

  7. I think even less of him now.

Not for taking the car, but for giving it back!

  8. They would want to check that barter account for teeth whitening strips and beauty salons receipts

  9. Literally not anything to get excited about. Assuming this is an accurate account.

  10. Lottie Ryan was fuming, going round Montrose looking for him, threatening to pull the head off him.

When Marty learned that didn’t mean what he thought it meant he had no choice but to come clean.

Marty with one of the biggest swerves of the year. Deffo wasn’t expecting it to be him 😂

  12. So what’s the issue with this. He got no extra money and Renault gave the car, literally a non issue.

  13. Don’t see the issue Renault gave him a car, he didn’t accept payment for the events he did for them, no public money involved and he didn’t claim car allowance. I don’t see the issue here.

  14. Well he reflected.. after all the shitstorm of course. What more do we expect?

  15. I don’t particularly care that he had the use of a car for free during this period.

If Renault provided it to him, and he received no public funds directly from RTE then what difference does it make?

  16. See fuck all wrong with what Marty did ….provided his time I’m sure Renault sold cars on the back of his appearance. And Marty got use of a car

  17. >Many of the GAA-related engagements I do, I do at no cost

I would assume they’re done for some benefit or reward in the long run, even if its not directly tied to a single engagement.

  18. Payment in kind is still payment and you have to pay tax on it LOL.

  19. Are we witnessing one big amazing episode of Father Ted at the minute ?

  20. Leave Marty alone – there was no loss to the taxpayer here.

  21. Absolutely baffled as to why anyone would give a shit. The internet just loves a good witchhunt I suppose.

  22. “I did not seek a fee” means fuck all. He got paid the same way the gaa pay everyone.3😉😉

  23. I like how he says he did those events because of his love for GAA.

As if we’re supposed to be like “Ah well fair play to him then, sure GAA makes him sound!”

  24. Not the worst of them really. He wasn’t charging 20k a pop for the events, just bad judgement and a BIK liability.
