How is my itinerary in Austria for 17 days? Is there something you would add for a person who loves nature, art, history, music, museums & culture?

Looks good, even if it would be too many days in a then hot city for me. I’d rather cut 2-3 days and spend it in the Salzkammergut (not only a day-trip to Hallstatt).
In Vienna I read nothing about the evenings – opera, musicals or classical concerts (visit Musikverein) could be an option. There are also quite a lot of outdoor festivals/theaters in summer in Austria, from super expensive to quite affordable (Salzburg festival, Gravenegg festival, open-air at St. Margarethen,…).
If you are into that kind of stuff you can do the Wachau Trip by ship.
Both DDSG blue danube and Brandner do 2 or 3 trips per day from Krems to Melk and back.
If you use the first ship for Krems > Melk and the last one for the return trip you can spend ~2h or so in Melk. Thats not very much, but whatever you prefer. Or maybe go for a short trip to Dürnstein (by ship).
Day 4 seems a little bit stuffed, depending how much you’re into art you can stay the whole day in the kunsthistorische Museum, if you just want to visit the most famous pieces and stroll through the rest it may be fine.
Day 8 seems quite empty Hundertwasser Haus and Donauturm are both interesting but nothing you spend super long (beside if you ear there) so if something from an earlier got left out, you can fit it in there nicely
Not that sure about spending a day in Vienna Woods is that worthy. Better stay one more day in Salzkammergut.
As someone from Salzburg: skip the overly expensive Mozart birthplace, maybe make a short visit to the dom (cathedral), but if you have the time, definately hike up to the fortress through the Mönchsberg, it’s a beautiful walk/hike.
August 13th is a Sunday, everything will be closed and you will not be able to do a lot of shopping. Maybe some not so nice souvenirs but not more. Better buy souvenirs at the museum’s shops! They have much more unique things.
by the time you reach rest day youll have seen enough museums (the entire 1st district is a museum in its own right). id rather squeeze in a day trip to bratislava via ship or railway instead of visiting museums youve missed
As someone already mentioned, I think Day 7 sould have other activities. Maybe a day trip to Bratislava (or Linz even if it’s not that big of a tourist city).
Nice move to see Graz, maybe u should see the Zeughaus as well, before or after Schlossberg. It’s really close by

Switch Belverde Palace to the day you want to visit Belvedere Gardens. Why go there 2 separate times. Day one is too stuffed to include Belverde palace too 🙂
I would include Schönbrunn Zoo too, but it would take a whole day to visit the Zoo and Schönbrunn palace.
