I caught Air France lying about cause to deny EU 261/2004 compensation claims by airdisputes Tags:Europe 3 comments EU261/2004 is great and if there are any delays over 3 hours everyone should be hounding the airline for their compensation. Brilliant, thanks for sharing. Very interesting that you can reach out to local civilian aviation authority for pressure. I had a claim that was weirdly denied from Air France too, another one was paid out without question. They are so inconsistant. EU261 is amazing. Very sad though when airlines resort to dodgy tactics to avoid paying up. Remember also that you can demand conciliation/mediation if you’ve been treated unfairly. Each country has a different organisation who does this. Germany’s one, the SOP, is fantastic to deal with. A little slow, but I’ve used them before and gotten more compensation than what EU261 states. https://soep-online.de/en/the-conciliation-procedure/ Leave a ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
