Anyone recognize this 20+ year old bottle of booze we found in grandparents’ basement?

  1. In czech its called Becherovka, liquor made from mixture of spices where clove is dominant taste…

  2. Looks like Viroza!

Also known as Becherovka. I love that stuff myself, but it’s not for everyone. If you like clove and cinnamon, you will enjoy it.

  3. Oh that’s oldschool labeled Becherovka for export.

Drink it, it’s good. Also goes well with beer. A půldecák of this as a little sip on the side of your lager of choice. It even seems that the liquid level is at the correct height, I wouldn’t be afraid of any damaged sealing or anything.

  4. As the links u/pleskplesk gave you will say, it’s an herbal liqueur, and therefore an acquired taste. Me, I got to like it in 2000, when I spent a no-English month in Olomouc. But then, I also like heavy pest Scotches and Chinese 白酒, so ymmv.

  5. Anyone recognize a Google search engine? It’s not like it’s a water damaged sunken pirate treasure.

  6. Becherovka’s kinda weird drink. Sometimes I take a sip and I get a hit of cinnamon and it feels pretty nice, but most of the time it just tastes like shit. That said, I do drink it in small amounts as treatment for upset stomach, works pretty well 🤷‍♂️
