Russians tried to assault a Ukrainian bridgehead near the Antonivskyi bridge on the left bank of Kherson, but ended up in an artillery firestorm, losing 23 fighting vehicles and armored cars, along with boats and drones.

  1. If you’re Russia, and you can’t even push the Ukrainian forces off a small strip of beachhead where they have no direct support and can’t retreat… well that’s just embarrassing.

    And losing most of your attacking force? *Someone’s* getting appointed to personally lead the next attempt.

  3. let’s not underestimate russians. They are good in waging war but at the same time they do not care about losses as much as western nations. That makes then effective and bad at the same time.

    What we might want to acknowledge is that also this massive failure was not because russians suck but because Ukraine is better. If they would have air superiority they would have already demilitarised russia.
