I didn’t expect Ireland’s to be that high to be honest. How come?
Brexit Britain is doing splendidly well, I see.
Australia’s GDP is higher than the combined total of the bottom 8 Oceanian countries in the list

Luxembourg is so high because many people work there from neighboring countries. But the GDP is divided by the population that actually lives there.
GDP Means nothing to me.
Ireland is number 2, yet we have a terrible housing disaster, rising amounts of homeless, poor public transport, a brain drain of nurses, gardí (police) and judges. And we suffer from massive inflation. anyone who says Ireland is a rich country is delusional. its only the politicians and Multinational companies that are rich
Why is GDP per capita even used to rank countries since these numbers don’t really tell us anything about the left half of the picture except for “they are tax oasis or sell oil?”
GDP per Capita is not the most meaningful of stats. Total GDP can give you an idea of how much power an economy can project – But for a serious look at living conditions per capita other measures are more appropriate. For example, Oil rich equatorial Guinea comes third on the african list, but is definitely behind all the other countries when it comes to living conditions (Libya being the obvious exception).
why is puerto rico there
They should take out the top 0.1%.
I bet the U.S. would drop considerably.
oop britbongers where are you? not on this list! hahahaa
I remember when just 10 years ago Usa was lower than Iceland and Denmark in my geography book, their gdp grow is quite impressive
Only idiots posts GPD per capita by itself. I makes NO sense (obsess you are a billionaire trying convince the poor people of your country that they are living a life of prosperity)
Ireland is suspect. Their GDP numbers are heavily influenced by accounting tricks.
