With advances in technology, the ability to have a jury in a different location to the court negates any argument for possible interference
Isn’t there plenty of other countries that do this?
No bother, once we get an alternative in place.
The UN, Amnesty International and the Irish Council for Civil Liberties have been calling for this for years meanwhile Fine Gael have actually been extending its powers.
That pretty much coincides with their parties move further to the right and I worry for the future, especially for any future political dissenters, if this slide and extension of powers continues and where it leads.
We all know who wants it gone and why.
It proably should go but i’m in favour off keeping it, for now.
Lets wait for the UN to abolish the permanent veto first before they tell us what to do.
