“This is their country they’re defending, these are their citizens they’re protecting.” National security adviser Jake Sullivan discussed the White House’s decision to send cluster munitions to Ukraine during a press conference today.

1. Unfortunately it took us that long to come to this most logical of conclusions…

2. Cluster bombs, so totally unexpected and controversial and Sullivan’s explanation was impassioned.

3. Every 3 months they get new toys until the goal is achieved.

4. That should be the end of the discussion, all naysayers points have been effectively dismissed and clearly on balance, this is the right thing to do.

5. “Ukraine would not be using these munitions in another country”… makes some sense.

6. I will support Ukraine always, and think that they are the ones to decide the means. But I’m afraid they will regret this. These munitions will infest their territory for years to come.
