I like it… Has a
“How much grain do you want?”
“Yes.”
Vibe to it.
love żurek, especially served in bread and with an egg in it!
In some regions of Poland it is served as a traditional breakfast on Easter Sunday, although that’s personally not for me.
In French the word *soupe* originally meant a thick slice of bread on which the meal was eaten, because people were too poor to have plates. Then at the end of the meal the soupe was eaten too.
Glad to see a return to the origines 🙂
Oh yeah i had one in Czech republic, it is so delicious !
I got to try that in Warsaw, loved it! It was a cold day and it was just perfect. Would have that again in a heartbeat.
Poland has some very underrated soups. Love that pickle soup too…ogorkowa
Sooo liquid bread in solid bread?
Thanks for reminding me of this soup. I absolutely loved it when i had it in Krakow last year.
Lived in Poland for a year (a while ago) and this is the first meal I had. Well – żurek w chlebie, as a starter. That was a good day.
