  4. There is a very old Romanian meme about Dorel.

    Dorel = an incompetent and uncaring employee who just works for a paycheck and doesn’t give a crap when his work process encounters a snag, and all he knows is that his objective must be completed at any costs.

    Examples of Dorel.

    *Having to level the sand at a tourist beach but because he missed doing it when there were no tourists there, like at night, he is now driving his machine between bedsheets and chairs, because HE HAS to level the sand no matter what.

    *Laying down hot asphalt in a rainstorm even though that’s not good for the asphalt. HE HAS to complete that objective no matter what.

    *Digging a hole with an excavator and encountering an archeological side, and then damaging it because HE HAS to dig that hole no matter what.

    Likewise in this picture. The plan says that’s a bike lane, and that’s what it’s gonna be even if there is a tree in the middle of it.
