In Croatia, where fuel is EU1.34, millionaires are being subsidized for boat fuel. This boat, Nikita, paid only EU.80 per liter for the tens of thousands of liters that it took on. Meanwhile, private boaters have to pay full price. Is Croatia great, or what?

nema trošarine za jahte… moram krenit jahtom na posao da mi bude jeftinije
There must be a fishing pole on board
So, are Croatians OK with millionaires getting cheaper diesel than retirees. A boat such as Nikita charges more than EU 100K per week, plus expenses, which means that those chartering the boat pay for fuel. Croatian citizens are subsidizing the fuel for these poor people who can only afford to rent a 30 meter boat.
You can see the boat at: Yachtcharterfleet.com

Croatia is a mix of equal measure incompetence and corruption. This is somewhere in the middle of the graph.
I mean this boggles the mind. These boats would be in Croatia regardless of fuel price. The millionaires and corporations that rent these boats would continue to charter at the same rate, but yet retirees and veterans are trying to survive. How can this be right? BTW, the registered owner is from Montenegro.
They must have seen locals do the same.
