It’s true: In Germany you can’t miss TV show “Dinner for One” on New Year’s Eve — because it’s on every channel the whole day

1. It’s on all government ones. These are all government channels

2. You can miss it by not watching TV. That is pretty easy, believe me, I have succesfully done that for the last twenty years.

3. Laughing at a drunken English butler.

4. Did they talk about this on an episode of QI once? About a drunk home valet/butler who’s serving some dowager her dinner.

5. When I moved and didn’t get free TV in the new place, friends gave me a copy of “Dinner for One” on DVD. Can’t be without it. 😅

6. Why that movie? What’s the significance?

7. it is funny but not as funny as the fact that Germans are so fascinated by it.
