No more bailouts for RTE. Let them stand on own and cut managements wages if the doesn’t work just gut the fucking place and sell it off save all our pockets.
Regardless of the secret payments, I still can’t fathom how RTE manage to consistently make losses on €360m in annual revenue. It is simply a badly run organization. Any private sector company that was constantly in the red would be made bankrupt.
She just wasn’t competent for the top job. But that’s not even her fault. They hired her. And they were all “ah well” about wasting our money for decades.
Hopefully the rest of these institutions will follow soon. Horse racing Ireland. Greyhound racing. Maybe even the gaa?

Do we know why this has only been picked up this year? Is RTE not audited every year, or did something spark this audit?
