Spain comes closer to high speed rail utopia with new line to Galicia

  1. Somehow I have a feeling that the lines to NW Spain (a region with an ageing, shrinking population) will never be anything other than a liability.

  2. Spain’s entire network has cost 70.000 million €. the brittish first line (london manchester i believe) will be at least 50.000 million€

  3. But VisualPolitik told me that these lines were all pointless pork barrel projects and they lose a ton of money?
