Mad queues at Dunnes already.

  1. Just home from the Aldi shop, in and out with no queues. Why does Dunnes always seem to have absolutely horrific queues at Christmas?

  2. God love you trying to get out of childers road. Made the big mistake of going to dunnes there on sunday. It was truly chaotic. All i wanted was a FAGE greek yogurt and roxboro tesco had ran out.

    First world problems

  3. The 23rd is always the busiest day of the year. Definitely the most stressful. It’s usually a good bit quieter on the 24th but covid is fucking up all the usual trends.

  4. is this Childer’s road near roxboro in Limerick? I used to work in the Costa there. idk why the entirety of Limerick has to congregate there to go shopping

  5. There were queues 5 deep at 25 tills at cornelscourt dunnes this morning at 6am, they’re now about 15 deep at the moment.

  6. its mad the amount of people queing up with trolleys that look like they were about to do a big shop. pretty much any time in the last 2 weeks would be better time to do that sort of thing and just buy the few perishable things around now

  7. Alot of businesses that do vouchers at Christmas give Dunnes stores ones. Plus they are taking the pandemic more serious than most places, where it’s a free for all, I am looking at you Tesco. Anyway merry fecking Christmas I hope the Grinch doesn’t ransack your house. And hope you all have a great duck year 2022.

  8. Just back from Dunnes, I didn’t mind the queue, it was sunny out and gave me time to study my list so I could plan my route through the shop. Also I appreciated that they were keeping the amount of people in the store at an appropriate level, it was grand once I got in.

Didn’t go until now cause work, didn’t ho later cause I’m about to be lit till the end of the year. Merry Christmas everyone x

  9. I wish my supermarkets had queues. The queue system and 1 way isles system was so much better for preventing covid transmission.

  10. I opt for choosing the logically busiest times knowing everyone else will be avoiding that going for the earliest at possible times. It’s peak irony

  11. People will still be asking me where the frozen puff pasty is later tonight, that’s been gone days.

  12. I went to Dunnes yesterday and the place was full. I get that everyone wants to get their perishables last minute but there’s no need for the shop to be completely crowded, especially since half the people are just standing in the middle of the aisles with trolleys or having a full conversation with someone they know. Just get what you need and get out, no need for people standing around in the way. This time of year is busy enough without all that hassle. Had the same thing in Aldi too yesterday but Dunnes was much worse
