Find it hard to believe he’ll get anything of substance. He’s, imo, not particularly good at anything and his radio is downright cringe. Most UK media is trying to appeal to younger generations and Tubs isn’t appealing to anyone sub 50 in my mind.

Who would hire him as a presenter for anywhere near the money he was getting here? He’s no Graham Norton or Dara O’Briain.
Not a chance he gets a gig at BBC or ITV, his reputation is tarnished and he doesn’t tick any boxes for diversity/appealing to a younger audience. Likeability factor is low too, he is no Wogan or Norton.
There’s an opening at the BBC as we speak.

In all honesty he won’t get much work in the UK now with the bad press. He wasn’t getting much of an opportunity a few years ago either.
He could probably sit on his hands for year and then release a podcast, he’s likely got some decent contacts to get guests on. Might not be a money maker longterm, but he probably doesn’t need to work again for money.
The only media space I can see him operating in around Ireland is a weekly column type thing.

I think you could tell something fishy was going on with RTÉ when they weren’t producing any quality shows. All the money funnelled to the boys. Other country’s national broadcasters with the same size of us are always producing decent entertainment

Yeah, good luck to him. His interview style was always terrible. On those brief moments where a guest opens up and starts a decent chat, Tubridy immediately cuts across and reverts to the questions on his sheet and the moment is gone, guest goes back to the usual aul shtick about the crap they’re promoting.

He’s a rubbish interviewer. It was always very obvious on the late late when he didn’t know or like the person he was talking to. The bias always showed. He’s terrible at letting a conversation flow, always pulling it back to the set out questions, and he’s frankly not very likeable.
Now he has this scandal hanging over him?
Best of luck to him ever getting tv work again.
If he’s lucky he’ll get a small gig in a smaller radio station in a few years, or a newspaper column.

He got fairly well paid for it. And paid tax on what he earned.
