The incoming DG briefed the press about his intention to ‘clean house’ when he takes the post. Tenner bets Coveney was first in line for a date with Madame Guillotine, and knew it. I’d say a few more will follow shortly.

Seems to be that Rory has a lot to answer for given he’s decided to run away, after the horse has bolted in true Fine Gael fashion.
I wonder if he was involved with making up jobs for his friends like his brother Simon was or to what extent his role was in these dodgy, potentially illegal payments?
I wonder what gig his slimey brother will get him now?
Could his resignation been refused?
Convenient that he can just quit without working his notice
