Something interesting I read:

  1. >TR seized the money of Turkish Cypriots!

Most of that money would belong to Greek Cypriots (since GCs have a much greater population)

  2. Interesting if true. What is ironic is the Turkish Cypriots blaming greek Cypriot intransigence for their suffering completely ignoring the elephant in the room. I guess Turkey’s propaganda is strong north of the Green Line.

  3. I pray for a united Cyprus. With united people. But with our heritage finally having a complete narration in fmailies and schools.

  4. Is this really true? I thought that they started using the Turkish Lira very quickly in 1974.

Unless they mean that the Cypriot Pound holdings in banks were forcibly exchanged to Turkish Lira, but surely the money held in Cypriot banks pre-1974 would have still remained in those banks after the invasion?
