Putin illustrates the self-fulfilling prophecy concept so much it is ridiculous.
Why would anyone want to protect itself from a hostile neighbor hosting the largest territory on earth?
Why where so many people against NATO before?

Russian propaganda about nazis in Ukraine is absurd because of the very fact that Ukranians aren’t nationalists even. Never seen a society despising it’s country that much(Lived there for a decade)
Russia turned them into hardcore nationalists, even those who were somewhat neutral towards Russia are now wanting them all to die.
They were not inclined into Nato, but Russia is claiming that they’re provoking Russia by bringing Nato at their doorstep. Oh jeez, can’t imagine why!
Not to mention how Putin sold NATO membership to Finland and Sweden. Someone give this guy an award!
