Danish inflation fell to 2.5% in June.On average, goods have fallen by 0.1% over the past year, mainly due to falls in electricity prices. Services have increased by 4.7 per cent in the past year, partly due to price increases for restaurant and café visits

Almost back to healthy levels. Core inflation is still sticky, but that’s true everywhere. The risk is another energy shock. It really exposed how much of the economy is reliant on reasonably priced and accessible energy. I hope this last 18 months has been a wake-up call re nuclear energy. We need reliable, reasonably-priced energy, and nuclear is the most environmentally friendly way to get there. At least until technology solves the storage problem of renewables, but that’s decades away.
