  1. What the….?

Aaahhh… South Dublin.. That explains it.

Not only should we not make it a public holiday, the orange from the flag should be removed. They’re not even liked in many loyalist areas up North.

  2. Looking to a future devoid of sectarianism, supremacism and persistent colonialism it sounds like a good idea. It’s difficult to see any merit in the continuing revisionist agenda that history is simply narrative and all narratives are equal. And sad that every endpoint is tourist spend, a narrative of the country as theme park.

  3. I’m a simple man. If I’m offered an extra bank holiday I will take that extra bank holiday.

  4. i’m all for it! Extra bank holiday in July! Sure we’d have it anyways in a United Ireland.

  5. All these people saying no…. do you not want an extra day off work in summer? Let them have their silly little marches I’ll be off enjoying myself. Win win IMO

  6. As long as it’s just a day off.

If we have to start marching, building bonfires or burning pictures of human beings, I’m out.

  7. yeah we’ll have a big festival every year celebrating the actions of a Dutch monarch from before running wayet, we’ll call it Prodsgiving.

food tastes better on stolen land, ask any Americans

  8. An extra day off in July every year you say?

I’ll order my Lambeg Drum and start learning the sash right away.

Anyone know where I can get pallets?

  9. As part of a reunited Ireland, sure thing.
At the very least in a federated Ireland, the North / Ulster would be keeping it as a bank holiday

  10. In the interests of inclusion and acceptance, sure why not, a step in the right direction I say
