This is by design. Torys will point fingers of Labour inaction when they inevitably gain power in 2024, when it was their own policies and governing that caused many issues that Labour will have to address.
Getting in power means you can’t do everything you want.
All the while you’ve campaigning about issues it seems pretty straightforward. Once you’re in power though and actually have to do something about it you need to balance out everything else that’s going on in the country. Nothing is as easy as it sounds from the other side.
Will Labour run on a manifesto of what they believe they will be able to do? Or will the manifesto include things they would “like” to do but won’t when in power?
Shouldn’t be too much a problem, it’s not like Labour seems to want to do a great deal anyway.
I hope labour let us know, and show evidence if they find clear cut cases of sabotage.
And the excuses start already – “Why didn’t you do this thing you promised to do” “The tories!”
Edit: Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t exclusive to labour, they all do it. That’s how the system works, tale as old as time
which basically means i’m a politican and i won’t do what i said in my manifesto
