Does anyone know if Article 5 can be invoked retroactively? Will NATO go to war with Russia if Ukraine becomes a member?
They wont join NATO while they are at War, and War wont end until they agree to neutrality and not to join NATO. They are in a catch 22 situation.
Please forgive me, I can’t get an answer to my question anywhere, I’m insulted and bullied everywhere because of it, but it’s really important and interesting to me.
Tell me, what did Ukrainians expect after the change of power in 2014 in economic and social terms, and also what exactly are Ukrainians fighting for now?
My question does not contain trolling, any kind of negativity and is a sincere desire to understand the situation.
Please, if you can’t answer without insults and bullying, just ignore my question.

This is bad news & will definitely escalate the conflict, if this is given through green light, prior to a formal declaration, you can guarantee a full Russian invasion of Ukraine.
They will have absolutely nothing to lose, either they win , then there are Russian forces on Poland’s border or they fail & NATO & Russian troops will be fighting each other inside Ukraine.
Perhaps the goal is to encourage a Russian advance to get them to move forward off their well prepared defensive line.

How did they miss the peace talks & ceasefire bit
