Looks like Pat dodged a big bullet by moving to Newstalk when he did. I know he’s not popular on here but I like his show and I listen to him on Apple Podcasts.
Whataboutism, a fairly desperate argument even for such an experienced headmelter.
This lad loves whataboutism arguments it’s very irritating especially when he is interviewing people
I’m going to disagree with the other comments. Government TDs have been all over the radio like flies to shit, criticising RTÉ for their lack of transparency, poor governance and lack of financial oversight. If they had 5% that energy for the National Maternity Hospital we could have saved tens of millions.
Over the last 6 months it’s just been announced that the overrun for the hospital is a €100 million more than originally thought. That’s **on top** of the existing overun for the last six months. Not a peep from Government TDs.
For god’s sake, future leader of Fine Gael Simon Harris was the one who signed that god awful contract and never a word about it is made!
Apples and oranges, Pat.
We’ll have something of immense national value when they finally complete the Children’s Hospital.
Not so sure we can say the same thing about RTE
Yeah but……
He is supposed to be a half decent radio presenter and journalist and this is the best he can come out with…. like the sort of argument a dole merchant would use to justify working for cash.

Stick to the badgers Pat
Pat Kenny’s an interesting guy. Comes off as a harmless plank of wood but every couple of years comes out with some of the most elitist, tone-deaf bollox I’ve ever heard
Fucking hell hes coming out swinging. Must be spending to much time with those honey badgers
Pat, we’re pissed off about both
Won’t somebody please think of the badgers.
Who put 50p in the idiot?
Il never forget Pats meltdown on his radio show the morning after the last general election results. He was losing his mind that Sinn Fein had done so well
Dickhead didn’t get enough money for Dalkey badgers/land-grabbing from his neighbours, and he isn’t afraid to admit it.
Badgers.
Hey pat ya snobby asswioe, sit and shut it. You’ve done very well out of the licence fees.

Pat, two things can be bad. One does not absolve the other.
The only [appropriate response](https://youtu.be/OiIsIE8iT28) to this ridiculous take from Pat.
