Our neighbor put two rows of barbed wire on top of his 1 meter tall wood fence that runs along our entire backyard (~60 meters). Allegedly to keep deer from jumping the fence. But it looks like Auschwitz.

I am worried about injuries. Our fruit trees are all along that side of our property, a meter or two from the barbed wire. If our 70 year old dad slips or loses his balance when trimming the trees he could fall directly onto the barbed wire.

Is it legal to put up barbed wire like this?

  1. In the play Kocúrkovo, a Slovak family was disconsolate because an axe that was stuck in the wooden roof of a barn would eventually fall on a baby in a cradle which they planed to position exactly under the axe. The baby wasn’t born yet.

The obvious solution was to not put the cradle in that place. The obvious solution for your dad is to stop trimming trees as long as the barbed wire is there. Now to your question: I don’t know.

  2. how about asking in the local government office? Town hall, mayors office etc..
asking questions like this on reddit is a sure way to get stupid answers
