In case anyone is wondering wtf this is… it’s one of what used to be many defensive towers in Bologna, built during medieval feudalism. They once filled the city, it would’ve been some assassins creed looking shit. These were quite a big project, taking around ten years to get to this height. The holes on the outside are left over from the scaffolding structure that was used to build it.
There’s quite a few of these left but iirc this one is the tallest remaining. It’s actually one of two, the other not pictured here is half built or half demolished I forget which.
