  1. >The Scalp (acronym for Système de croisière conventionnel autonome à longue portée : Long-range autonomous conventional cruise system) is an air-to-ground guided missile designed to strike fixed targets at long range.

    >”We have decided to deliver additional deep strike missiles to Ukraine,” said Emmanuel Macron as he arrived at the summit venue in Vilnius, Lithuania. “I think what’s important for us today is to send a message of support for Ukraine, of Nato unity,” he added.

    >French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Tuesday July 11, on the first day of the Nato summit, that France would deliver Scalp long-range missiles to Ukraine.

    >”We have decided to re-deliver deep strike missiles to Ukraine,” said Emmanuel Macron as he arrived at the summit venue in Vilnius, Lithuania. “I think what’s important for us today is to send a message of support for Ukraine, of Nato unity,” he added.

The wording “deliver again” confirms that France had already delivered this system to Ukraine, confirming doubts about the [strikes against bridges](https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/comments/14gcwtu/arrival_of_the_british_cruise_missile_storm/) in Crimea 3 weeks ago : https://youtu.be/GDPNNMZXVGs?t=36

  2. “Scalp” is the Storm Shadow missiles that were already known to be in action. Different names and acronyms in English and French. UK definitely delivered some and I think France also had send some, but I may misremember that.

Main question I have is what variant is being sent. All are useful as there are many barracks ammo dumps, supply points and minor bridges to be hit. But range varies from to 290 to 550km.

And then there’s even a naval alternative with about 1400 km range. Even a very small preprogramed number could be extremely useful to eliminate the troublesome Kerch bridge.
