Why does NATO need Ukraine as much as Ukraine needs NATO?

1. NATO would be insane not to have Ukraine in the alliance

2. I don’t think there’s any doubt that Ukraine will join NATO and that NATO wants Ukraine. It’s just a matter of when and how. The only question is how to avoid triggering Article 5, which would radically escalate the war with Russia – and Ukraine would be ground zero.

   So there will probably be a kind of “associate” connection just short of full membership, allowing NATO to do a lot of coordination and planning and organizational stuff without direct military participation, for now.

3. Ukraine’s troops have experience and inside knowledge that is priceless and useful for the future .

4. Fuck NATO, let’s all join Ukraine and Taiwan and live happily ever after.

5. Oh, come on guys. The only be reason Putin started this war in 2014 was to stop Ukraine joining NATO and EU. Every day you delay is a victory for Putin. Be Wake up!.

7. NATO doesn’t need Ukraine. Ukraine deserves to be part of NATO though.

8. As long as NATO has countries that have nukes they quite literally don’t need anybody. We should get Ukraine in NATO, and it would be a huge boost to NATOS power but can we not pretend like NATO “needs” them?

9. Ukraine has a grasp on pretty much every countries armaments and munitions at this point. And according to some reports, they’re operating equipment outside of standard operating procedures with successful results that have the manufacturers scratching their heads.
