  1. One of the best choice we could make as a society is to ban grass for any new builds and give a financial incentives to replace grass to any current owner of a grass lawn. The sooner we get rid of grass the better.

We would save on water, we would see a decrease in CO2 in the air, we would see a rise in biodiversity, soils would be healthier. Literally no downsides.

  2. While this is a good point, I think a large portion of the population still doesn’t understand the difference between a diverse and an unkempt garden

  3. The real difference in the number of species living in those gardens is a whole lot bigger than this image shows. The ratio of different species between the top and bottom would be more like 250:1.

  4. I honestly still prefer the middle and especially the bottom more if this was my own house…

    But yeah, biodiversity is important…

    (I hate myself)

  5. Public green spaces in Ireland have been taking a more biodiverse approach this year and my local park has never looked better and I’ve definitely noticed a lot more and greater diversity of birds around the whole area everywhere I look I see tits.

  6. The bottom one looks American. Never seen a house like that in Ireland anyway
