  1. 1/ Andrii – voluntarily mobilized. Before the full scall war, he sang in a choir and loved to travel. And he also has a beloved wife, Alina. She is the one who takes very touching care of him today, she lives with him in the hospital. For several months, Andrii took the Military Commissariat as a wall in order to get to the front. That is how he ended up in the 47th brigade, where he headed the air reconnaissance unit.

While performing a combat mission, Andrii came under fire. One of the shells exploded right under his feet. Andrii’s brothers and the medics who evacuated him were sure that they would not take the boy. Meanwhile, Andriy himself was conscious until the last and gave orders.

2/ Andriy lost both hands, eyes and partially hearing. He had almost no face, but now, thanks to the titanic work of the doctors, it is hardly noticeable.

Alina helps him eat, meets a physiotherapist, and after the procedure – just lies down next to him. And the way they lie together says more than any words.

It is interesting that Andriy constantly analyzes what he did wrong. If he left the position earlier, or, on the contrary, delayed. But he never thinks that he might not go to war.

3/ Today, he is stable, but Andriy and Alina will still have to undergo complex rehabilitation. In addition, they are actively studying the possibilities of the so-called bionic vision. All this requires a lot of money.

  2. Thankful for his stability, thankful for his support, Thankful for his sacrifice.

  3. Thatโ€™s an immense amount of bravery and toughness. I wish him peace and strength.

  4. Get this man as much as he needs for the rest of his life

  5. Fuck russia, they need to end. They managed to create the character from Metallica’s “one”. Except he carried on as best he could. God bless him. fuck russia. We’ll all be better off when they’re gone.

  6. Amazing individuals, an amazing couple.

I wish them both the best. This is a tough, tough road, one which they need to walk individually, and together. In the end, wherever their journey ends, may they find much happiness and joy.

  7. He can be glad to have a loving, loyal wife.

I would be alone and fucked up. That would kill me.

(Of course, I still wouldn’t want to trade places with him….)

  8. This is so heartbreaking. My god, no-one should have to go through this just for another man’s ego and greed.

  9. God bless and comfort them.

  10. The Sacrifices the individual soldier makes alone are rarely appreciated, the ones who lose multiple limbs & other body parts should get a free ride through life from then on, there’s no possible way to recover from this, only adapt.

    damn the orcs to hell!

  11. No one should have to go through this in modern age, The World needs to wake up and get rid of these dictators. Why do we put up with this.

  12. Yet another awful tragedy that didn’t need to happen, but at the least, they are both still alive and still have each other, and that is incredible. I remember some years ago in the 2010s doing a super brief check into prosthetic eye technology/research, and was pretty shocked to see how far it had progressed. Obviously there is still so, so much to do regarding research, across so many various aspects, but I do think somehow it’ll be possible, and probably within his lifetime. It would be great to see him (and countless others) have the ability to experience sight, either again, or for the first time.

I am grateful for his and her sacrifices, as I am for so many countless others. Heroyam slava

  13. damn, losing hearing AND sight sounds like hell on earth to me. hero

  14. I honestly hope there’s a massive boon in the field of bionics to help people like him in the near future, to lose both eye and ears is horrific yet alone hands as well. Too many good people like him are being maimed by these Vatnik fuckwits.
