Once again, the Perseid Meteor Shower aroused my excitement. Time magically passed by while we observed the night sky illuminated by the meteors. The remote cabin from the Strieder Family gave us the perfect setting and overwhelming view.
For the final image, I used my tracked Nikon D800 astromod for a detailed night sky and my Nikon D810 for the light painted foreground and continuously shooting during the nights from August 11 to August 14 to collect the Perseids. Finally I was able to share my passion for Meteor Showers and Nightscape Photography with my friends, after many lonely nights during the last years. I felt very blissful and this feeling absolutely had to be the main message and story of this sophisticated piece of photography. I guess it worked.
Furthermore this Panorama is part of my recent Photography Series:Starlit Deeps of Moonless Nights – 5 Years of Milky Way Photography
Once discovered during extended summer nights, the nocturnal excitement as a hidden world behind the boundaries of the ordinary became the main theme of my photographic journey. This round-up collection marks the 5 Years milestone of that weird trip into the dark including my best-loved Meteor Shower Images, Comet Neowise, Star Trail sessions and the Super Blood Moon Eclipse between Leipzig and La Palma
