I am honestly surprised that a retrodated contract did not appear.
I don’t hold him responsible for the money or its reporting. I just think it was awful to let all his co-workers take a pay cut… pretend to take a pay cut himself and at the same time take more money. That said, they are all paid way too much at the top there. The possible audience for their endeavours is only 5 million and change. That’s equivalent to Washington DC where a news anchor makes something like €90-100k a year on the high side. Their salaries should all reflect that.
It’s not a good day when you hire a agent for his brains to do your numbers for you cos you’re the words guy and you are subsequently invited to an Oireachtas committee to put into words what the lines on your invoice which are meant to obfuscate transactions all mean in reality.
