It’s an absolute disgrace
If only there was something law enforcement could do about this. We’ve trried nothing and we are all out of ideas
If only we had a group of dedicated citizens that patrolled our streets while trying to prevent crimes. We could even give them a uniform, something that’s high visibility, and maybe even some bikes, motorbikes, or even cars.
Without enforcement of the rules of the road, drivers(I.e the general population) will try getting away with breaking every rule they can.
So it simple, put a few ANPR cameras up there, and a fine plus 3 points for the owner/driver of any vehicle thats not meant to be there.
Can we not set up a camera that catches regs and fine them automatically. Wouldn’t even mind if you got a warning first for fuckers who will make excuses. Then ever increasing fines. Forth fine is tied to your income to catch the rich fuckers.
Can work vans driven by workers who are working in the area pass through or is that not allowed either?
maybe its because thee vehicles don’t have much alternative to get to where they need to be in a timely manner?
In other normal, functioning, well-ran European cities all traffic restrictions are enforced with ANPR cameras and fines issued through the post.

The IT I enjoy but christ it’s even new layout isnt great and the text I find my eyes go a bit fuzzy is the only way to describe it after a long article.
These people are clearly more important than the rest of us and have places to be. They don’t have time for tickets and penalty points.
Haven’t been in there in a while, how bad is the traffic backed up around there?
The rule allows for people who are travelling somewhere within college green to pass through it.
Good luck enforcing it when every person is just having a drive down to trinity for themselves.
Its such an easy revenue stream for Gardai if they just enforced traffic laws in the city.
