Not sure why they felt the need to spend resources painting over the images, but presumably it was part of a larger redecorating job.

It’s a simple wall painting done by a professional in a detention centre. Featuring characters owned by a mega-rich corporation.
The odd small child who goes through MIGHT notice it. It has no consequence whatsoever though, it doesn’t matter.
This is a total waste of resources arguing about this.
First it was because it was to welcoming, and now the story is that it was a facility for adolescents and so Mickey Mouse wouldn’t be appropriate. I think I believe the first reason.
