Damn it, now I’m hungry again.
Never heard of any Transylvanian food but now I want it
I have not had Zakuszka in maybe 15 years. Thanks for reminding me!
I remember one time we had to bring a dish to our global cultural studies class in high school for a country we were each assigned. I brought store-bought Zakuszka to share with the class!
Side note: I spent some time in Transylvania in the heart of the Carpathian mountains in the late 90s through family and stayed in a country village called “Nucet”. We heated our bath with firewood and ate multi-course meals almost nightly! It was a fantastic experience!
Zakuszka is with roasted red peppers frate bun
Vinete, zacuscă, slănină.
All romanians eat these
