  1. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Ukraine is very grateful to the UK and its people for their support.

    Details: Zelenskyy was asked for his response to UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace, who has urged Ukraine to express more gratitude to its partners for their military aid instead of constantly making demands for new types of weapons to be unblocked.

    Quote: “It seems to me we have always been very grateful to the United Kingdom, always grateful to the Prime Minister and the Defence Secretary, Mr Wallace…

    I just do not know what he means, how else we are supposed to express our gratitude. He can text me to explain it… We can wake up every morning and personally thank the minister.
    The UK is our partner, we are grateful to it, maybe the minister wants something specific… But I think we have a good relationship.
    We are grateful to the people. After all, strong support from the people influences the support from any state’s leadership.”

    Details: Zelenskyy also turned to Oleksii Reznikov, Ukraine’s Minister of Defence, who was in the audience. “Oleksii, are you on bad terms with the UK Defence Secretary? You get along perfectly? Then thank him. Call him today.”
    Reznikov stood up and said thank you to Wallace. This speech by Zelenskyy drew smiles from some members of the audience.

  3. This does not make Zelensky look good.

    As Wallace’s comments had nothing to do with gratitude to him or the UK, but preparing Ukraine for future US lawmakers in the upcoming elections. Lawmakers who are less pro-Ukraine.

    By saying this Zelensky has only proved that he did no more to read past the headlines before reacting than hundreds of other Twitter numpties.

  4. We fucking made Ukraine give up the third largest nuclear arsenal in the world. We also made them give up long range missiles (Russia has attacked Ukraine with many of those very same missiles that we gave up!).

    The UK, USA, China, and France should be doing all they can to support Ukraine. We effectively made Ukraine castrate themselves to appease Russia.

    Any dipshit politician (Mr. Wallace in this case) can go fuck himself (although this is the first time I’ve been able to criticize him, he and the UK have been awesome towards Ukraine).

    TL;DR Politicians want us to think that they are personally doing things or giving things away. Fuck that, it’s our tax money. And I want Ukraine to get more of it. They don’t have to kiss our feet. We fucking owe them.

  7. The West has been dragging it’s feet for so long. If Zelenskyy didn’t ask for support time and time again it would not come. His frustration is absolutely understandable and justified.

  11. Zelenskyy LITERALLY every second evening speech mentions how thankful he is, Ukraine and ukranian ppl. LITERALLY. What exactly Wallace wants? It sounds almost like he wants to say it like that: “Shut up and be glad for what we give you!”. Then SAY IT OUT LOUD, what is the problem? If you are so bold and so about “seeing the truth”.
