What did you think was going to happen?.That the russians would stop lobbing bombs on civilians? That will only stop when they have been pushed all the way home and out of Ukraine.
Of course they care. The more their military suffers defeat, the more they’ll escalate the pure terrorism.

Russians are a special breed.
Rule of thumb: never trust a word a Russian says.
Ukraine can’t defend itself for decades, and more and more Ukrainians will die or flee the country, and more cities will get razed to the ground and the soil will become infertile.
A lot of people I know who are still living in Ukraine are in utterly despondent mood. Ukraine is just a buffer zone between Russia and the West, so it doesn’t matter if this land becomes a wasteland. But ruzzia got a taste for complete permissiveness to do whatever the hell it wants without facing any real consequences. After Ukraine falls, they will attack the Baltic states and Poland, and [NATO will let them](https://babel.ua/en/news/80436-estonian-pm-according-to-nato-s-strategy-in-the-event-of-a-russian-attack-the-baltic-states-would-have-to-wait-for-deoccupation-for-at-least-six-months). Only Western Europeans’ lives are worth a damn, and Eastern Europeans are aware of it, too.
