Finished our Portugal trip with Francesinha and port in Oporto

  1. The weather got cold and wet, we got a bit sick so had to cut the trip short. We went up the Serra estrela, had the cheese from there and pastel de bacalhau with the cheese inside.

    Didn’t get to try cachorrinhos, pastel de feijão, or pao lo humido, next time!

  2. Haven’t been to Portugal since Christmas and Francesinha is the dish that I miss the most, without a shadow of a doubt. I’m so jealous!

  3. Shouldn’t the chips be swimming in the Francesinha sauce, located under the sandwich? Great picture, great dish! Loved mine.

  4. I went on a tour of the Port wine cellars earlier this year and they really did give me a lot to drink at the end!

  5. What’s the weather like now? I will be there Thursday for the first time. Any recommendations for Lisboa (including food)?

  6. A quick clarification, calling it Oporto is like saying Thelondon or Elmadrid. You can say just Porto.

    Anyway now im craving Francesinha
