A new law to secure rights of people with disabilities to vital treatments passed a crucial vote in the Seanad, despite Government attempts to “kill” the bill.

Independent Senator Tom Clonan who proposed the bill, said it was “a moral victory” that it passed to second stage, moving one step closer to becoming law and better protecting some of Ireland’s most vulnerable citizens.

  1. Good but i bet the waiting lists for the services will still be in the years instead of months range. So while the services will eventually be available, an assessment will take that long that any benifits that coukd have been gained by early intervention will be lost

  2. That’s really good news!

In the middle of it :“an act of generosity” hahaha, how kind of the senators not to block it.

I’m sorry that his son had to go through all that he did. 🙁
