She should tell him Ukraines interest in joining NATO peeked after the war began. And 3 nuclear powers engaging a 4th nuclear power in open warfare is a bad deal for the planet.
I hope the war is over by the time your son is 18. I hope your son doesn’t have to fight in this awful war.
what did he reply?
Jake: “Tell him we’re deeply concerned. OK, next question?”

Hey, I want to hear answer.
Fire Jake Sullivan.
You were not invited because circumstances dictate such, please stop with the sensationalism
Odd question for a kid

What was his answer?
I get supporting ukraine but this is like concern trolling. Making nato seem like the bad guys when unity and respect is needed to defeat Russia. Ukraine can’t join nato cause they are in an active war its that simple but afterwards of course.
This is just pro russian trolling. Ukraine is receiving massive amounts of support and will join NATO after the war.
Without NATOs help there would be Russian soldiers in our street? Joining NATO won’t help us at the moment?
Because it’s not the right time. Read the rules. Follow the rules. Easy
I understand the anger from Ukrainians. But there is a metric tonne of support for arming the Ukrainians – even ATACMs and F-16s. But there is no support among NATO members at this moment to admit Ukraine and immediately join the fight, because Putin would reach for his nuclear buttons. And he’s probably start with the Zaporizhia power plant. And even if there was support, Hungary will veto it.
I do think NATO countries could do more to thwart Russia: even more shells for artillery, search all ships leaving St Petersburg, Turkey could do the same in the Ithsmus, slow further reduce caps on Russian oil, impose more banking regulations to track Russian transfers of wealth, etc.
Because for many years Ukraine has been pro russian.
