  1. While cannabis is popular now, Opium, Morphine, Cocaine, Hashish, Chloroform & Ether became major drugs in 19th century France. Self-experimentation, war medicine & pharmaceuticals helped create France today. Learn about it in [an episode](https://www.thefrenchhistorypodcast.com/france-on-drugs-opium-morphine-cocaine-hashish-chloroform-ether-in-the-19th-century-with-dr-sara-black/?fbclid=IwAR11ohXeh-SpYHSO7-QgS73dD7dpYAI_LM_8Gx_V_Um0mmh9SkGIWEGoR20) by The French History Podcast

  2. Give me legal affordable weed so i can stop eating opiates god damnit…

  3. It seems not to have made French people any mellower, based on recent events.

  4. This is data drom 13 years ago. Not very relevant anymore…

  5. They say using canabis will make you more chill , calm but in France the are ducking rioting all over the place

Did they not get the memo or what?

  6. Surprisingly low. Maybe things are different outside of Stockholm.

  7. I read cannibalism instead of cannabis.

Working night shifts will make you think like a zombie I swear…

  8. Even higher than the Dutch, who don’t even make it to top three?
    *insert Miranda Priestly gif

  9. So is that an illegal consumption statistics I presume? I’m from UA and it’s illegal in here.

  10. These numbers are not correct, at least the Swedish numbers are way higher. This was very recently brought to light when a pretty significant unreported numbers finally surfaced just a little while back.

  11. And we also lead western Europe in most absurdly harsh convictions for cannabis possession. If you grow a plant in your garden or in a closet, you’ll be tried like a member of the mafia. I love my country but I also hate it sometimes.

  12. Shouldn’t the poor and dumb countries be high ? How can educated and rich people do drugs ?

  13. Wow, in the US it’s 18.7%. We smoke a lot of weed.

  14. Numbers for Sweden are not correct. A recent (big study from CAN) shows its 10,4%. An even more recent study showed 19,4%, same organization, but they made a study where people were guaranteed to be anonymous instead of study being aimed directly towards certain individuals.

  15. I’m stunned how low it is in the UK as a whole and especially Northern Ireland, frankly.

Simply a case of it being pricier as it’s harder to import and PSNI are targeting growers as the drug trade is tied in with dissident paramilitary activity?
