Nuclear weapons exist in 2 basic forms: city killers and tactical nukes. City killers, no need to elaborate. Any use would lead to immediate retaliation. Tactical weapons would immediately draw condemnation and various forms of consequences, but probably not a nuclear response. However, there’s no good reason to use tactical nukes because…they actually kind of suck at their job. Tactical nukes only work they’re either used in large numbers or if small unit commanders are given access to them. Obviously Russian isn’t going to do either of those.
