US always seems so resilient from these financial shocks. It’s honestly weird considering how our politics is just one side screaming racism and the other side screaming culture wars
What a poorly done graphic though. Apart from saying “America fuck yeah”, which was the goal judging from the source, it achieves nothing. The axis makes it impossible to distinguish between countries. It could have been somewhat solved with data labels but it’s a missed opportunity. The choice of color, for the countries and the background, are questionable when paired with such an axis. r/dataisbeautiiful would have a field day with this
