And just like that, just as I thought this past winter, the counter offensive that so many were advertising for spring has turned into a summer offensive. It’s ‘funny’ that even after watching closely the Ukrainian defense for a year so many ‘experts’ failed yet again to predict Ukraine’s actions and strategy. Ukraine is one of the most patient and ingenious army I have ever studied, their slow advances and retreats are to be studied for decades to come in war departments. I predict that after a summer assault in autumn they will slow down and then hit the Russians, perhaps decisively, in December when winter comes. And by April next year we will know with great certainty who won.

This is amazing how lop-sided this war is becoming; with every day Ukraine gets stronger, and Russia gets weaker
