I’m going to buy a few of them as an investment!

  1. There is a special place in hell for people who won’t put a price when selling a car, bike, item, etc. But for real estate, a new low!

  2. Is it possible to legally challenge them on this?
They offered it for this price, so if they will not accept your offer at this price it would be discrimination (given there is no other bid)

  3. I recently saw an appartment where the advertised price was like 700k, but in the description of the flat they said it costs 800k (no additional parking space, or anything else that would explain it).

I reported it on athome and it got changed since then. I like to believe it was because of me, but who knows.

  4. 😭😭😭 I am embarrassed to admit that I took that seriously for a few seconds before I realized 🤦 I’m never going to be able to afford a home ☹

  5. Van Maurits says he does this to show the competition all the places he has sold. He wouldn’t get to “show” them if he simply removed them when under conpromis.

And it’s not at all infuriating when you start searching and forget to put in a minimum price /s 🙄

  6. It’s getting to the point where 100 people who want to buy a home create an association with a Committee who have a specific mandate to find the land and build 100 dwellings.

100 people with say €500k each is a pot of €50m. Buy the land, negotiate a good deal with building, electric, plumbing, kitchen companies and deliver the houses. It’s not impossible as the promoters are probably putting 30-50% from the sales of the houses they construct straight into their pockets.

Ok, I get it’s a simplistic approach to something that is probably brain damagingly complex but something radical needs to happen as 2022 is approaching and another 9% will be added to every property.

I own a nice big three bed apartment in the city and it’s worth €1,xxx,xxx,xxx.xx which is great if I want to leave the country and buy elsewhere. I don’t want to leave, I want a nice villa in XYZ around the city. The bank will happily give me the money as I have equity, savings and a good monthly income, but I am an old git so they will only give me a 15 year mortgage which is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike for me as I like eating and toilet paper and re paying 6,200.00 per month is not an option with the cost of everything else in Lux.

I really wish my place was only worth €250k like most small cities as that would mean my dream villa would be a very affordable €500k and everybody could buy property.

    Something needs to change.

  7. This is outright mocking of every single person here trying to find himself a home.
    Not an investment.
    A home.

  8. Fun fact: in countries with strong consumer protection laws you are forced to honor the advertised price. See if this kind of foolery happens there. 😉
