Another month of rain: New Met Office forecast dampens hope of better weather in August – while Europe bakes in 45C

1. Good because if better weather is a >40ºC heatwave I don’t want it, and we desperately need more rain anyway

2. I would rather have rain and mild weather than a heatwave. Last year was horrendous.

3. The UK seems well placed for survival as the climate chaos progresses.
   Apart from flooding,we seem pretty safe.
   This isn’t the first year that continental Europe has had heatwaves and the UK hasn’t.

4. How many plastic bags do I need to burn in order to get the jet stream to bugger off? I’ve got a few hundred I reckon.

5. Was looking forward to another glorious summer after the June we had. Looks like summer ended there though!
